Taycan Cross Turismo will have CUV specific driving mode, which will further optimize the driving dynamics on gravel at the push of a button.

Taycan Cross Turismo will also ride slightly higher than the regular Taycan, and have other differences, such as the bigger cargo area behind the rear seats, optimized space for backseat occupants, and roof rails.

“With the Taycan Cross Turismo, we wanted to offer a little bit more space, a little more flexibility and versatility”, Weckbach said. “We developed a completely new roofline, fitted with roof rails, a more generous second row and bigger trunk, all to make a car that is perfect for an active lifestyle. I do not like the looks of that car. I do not like it at all. Blech.

I think it looks good and it might really hit the sweet spot for some people; more utility than the regular Taycan but way more exiting than your average crossover. That said, we already have a utilitarian vehicle in the e-tron (and a 3/4 ton diesel pickup) so I don't at all regret going for the sportier Taycan GT/sedan.
