Hey guys this is my first post and probably be my first electric car as well . I’m getting an incoming car that is coming next month . My question living in New York knowing how small the range is . Is it worth getting . I know I can back out of the deal . But what do you guys think about this vehicle ? Is it worth getting electric vehicle , would appreciate any feed back thank you

haha.. the range isnt small. Im sure you have electricity in New York and home charging is probably the biggest convenience item as youll always be topped up. Road trips are no issue either - it really just takes a little bit more planning.

To me its worth the adjustment - the CT is an amazing machine!

50 miles a day and home charging means an EV will be massively more convenient than any IC engined car.

I’m not from NY, but i’m doing about 50miles/day.
charging at home (11kwh) or at work (22kw) and that’s it.
and before i forget, i have a big smile every day

I don’t know what electricians charge in the USA, or how big a job it is at a typical home but my domestic charge for electricity is £0.16 per kWh, though it is not steady at the moment.
If you achieve 3 miles per kWh your 50 miles per day would cost around £2.66 per day and no petrol to buy, ever.

I bought PMCC so I can use current 3-phase sockets at home and at work …no costs for electrician.
prices for electricity are 0.11€ if i charge during daylight, or 0.05 at night (or on Sunday)…so my math says that with avg..consumption of 22kwh/100km I spent something between 1-2€/100km.

Absolutely. In fact, I have no more ICE cars. All electric.

50 miles a day is nothing. plug in at night, full battery in the morning. rinse and repeat.

My only concern is the range it seems so little lol I’m going back and forth I want the vehicle than also my insurance goes up and also the electric bill . Now I’m thinking is all worth it to get into electric vehicle because of all these expense lol

I live VERY close to you, and drive a similar commute. I drove 10k miles last year and it cost me $520. My insurance is less than my former Macan.

You can drive anywhere round trip on Long Island without range concerns, I have gone to Montauk and back without charging.
