From that photo it looks like an experience center car in Germany. That or a Taycan experience event to market the car - and someone fucked up.

Apparently during a test drive the driver swerved to avoid a motorcycle who had veered into his lane on a curve, losing control of the car and rolling it down an embankment and slamming into a tree which crushed the roof.

Report here says it hit a tree after departing from controlled flight

https://www.nonstopnews.de/meldung/36811

There were only nine of them... A test drive event involving ten high-quality Taycan e-Porsche vehicles ended near Kirchheim with a total loss for one of them - but fortunately only minor injuries.

At a service station on this sunny day, many interested people took advantage of the offer to drive an E-Porsche demonstration car. Ten vehicles, each worth over 100,000 euros, were ready and waiting, but the exit of one of them ended in a serious crash. On a winding road, the driver reportedly swerved to avoid a motorcyclist, the car went off the road and crashed down a slope into a tree. Despite the severe damage to the vehicle, the occupants, slightly injured, were able to get out of the car themselves. The fire department had been alerted to ensure fire protection. Technicians from the demonstration site rushed in to ensure that the energy supply system had been switched off as a result of the accident. It was only afterwards that the destroyed Porsche could be recovered safely. The police are now investigating the exact cause of the accident. The test drive was initially stopped after the accident.

Total supposition but looks like it maybe hit the tree directly above the B pillar straight across the roof? Pretty amazing the occupants walked away.

It makes me feel really good about the structural safety of the car to read that the occupants walked after such a dramatic accident.

Nice find on the links... I agree, makes me feel better knowing that it went directly into a tree and they seem to have walked away (albeit with serious injuries).

Wasn't a real roll-over. The passengers were reported to be severely injured, but having been able to get out of the car. However they apparently did not walk away far, but had to be taken of by medical staff. Driver was 32 years old and passenger was 20 years with good luck and a good car to protect them...

Crashing down a hill, while enjoying the view through your nice panoramic glass roof, into a tree roof first and surviving incl. your passenger? Another day another time I have to tip my hat to Porsche engineers. Wow ?

"he driver and passenger were seriously injured in the accident. Both probably crawled about 20 meters up the slope to the road, where they were then discovered by two motorcyclists. The first responders alerted the emergency services and cared for the occupants until they arrived. Both men had to be taken to hospital by ambulance, accompanied by an emergency doctor."

To clarify the "state" of the survivors.

Very strange, the car resting in the trees does not seem any where near as roof crushed as the car on the flat bed. Wonder if they dragged it upside down up the hill. Anyone else notice this?
Noticed this as well, but I think the pictures of the car in the trees mostly show the drivers side -- which is mostly intact. The passenger side is the side that went into the tree, and that's the side you see on the bed.
