Do you have the insulated glass? Or is this an issue with all Taycan windshields?
I do have insulated glass.
Not sure if all Taycan windshields are the same.

My dealer advised against the insulated glass due to the phone signal beeing worse in car and the problems using “fastpass” systems. I would “hate” having it there at all times since we rarely use it here (in Denmark) - we only have toll on the two largest brigdes.

There are cell signal boosters for cars for this situation. Such as this:

I wouldn’t say essential but I picked up one of these folding Porsche storage boxes (for my charging cables) direct from Porsche for £30 delivered.

I don’t disagree, I was thinking the same thing. I’m wondering if that external antenna could be put somewhere discreet where you wouldn’t see it. That probably wouldn’t work though. I guess I will wait and see how the cell reception is after getting the car.

My cell reception inside the car seems unaffected.
Can’t say the same for my radar detector or EZPass.

My GM told me that you cannot use a detector behind the insulated glass. I would plan on using a remote in the bumper.
Yes, in my experience the insulated glass wrecked radar detector performance. Never affected my phone cellular reception though.

As was posted above (quoting the manual), I think the EZPass works on the sides of the mirror mount (sensor box?). I can’t yet confirm, as I’m not yet in an area to test it.

A Tesla Destination Charger or
Adapter to J1772

Like one of the following
Lectron - Tesla to J1772 Adapter, Max 40A & 250V (available from Amazon)
Or
TeslaTap 40A (available directly from supplier)

With these adapters cable you can charge the Taycan and other non-Tesla EVs on a Tesla Destination, UMC, or Wall Connector charger.

Handy when traveling to hotels.

Note: 40A is all that is needed for the current Model of Taycan unless they upgrade their charger for single phase in the USA. It can provide 9.6kW charging speed.

Note I have no connection with above sellers or producers and links have no monetization info. I did personally order the Lectron (as I felt less worried about it scratching the car) in preparation for the Taycan and use with my Bolt EV. I know @ Louv got the TeslaTap and it has worked for him.
