Taycan / Porsche accessories that are must haves?

My cell reception inside the car seems unaffected.
Can’t say the same for my radar detector or EZPass.

I have insulated glass in my Panamera GTS and ezpass works fine, never have an issue. You must mount it high next to the mirror as the insulation between the glass is not present on both the left and right sides. You can see the difference and openings up close.

That is a good point. I know in the Tesla my ez pass does not work. Not sure if it’s the glass or the battery

We have a M S 75. It was delivered to us Sept. 2016. The only way I can get the Sunpass to work is to place on the inside of the rear glass of the rear window.

A Tesla Destination Charger or

Or
TeslaTap 40A (available directly from supplier)

With these adapters cable you can charge the Taycan and other non-Tesla EVs on a Tesla Destination, UMC, or Wall Connector charger.

Handy when traveling to hotels.

Note: 40A is all that is needed for the current Model of Taycan unless they upgrade their charger for single phase in the USA. It can provide 9.6kW charging speed.

Note I have no connection with above sellers or producers and links have no monetization info. I did personally order the Lectron (as I felt less worried about it scratching the car) in preparation for the Taycan and use with my Bolt EV. I know @ Louv got the TeslaTap and it has worked for him.

Every time I plug my Porsche charger into my Model 3 the internal breaker of the charger trips. I am considering buying a ChargePoint for the home, but maybe I should be investigating this adapter for my Tesla charger instead.

Has anyone tried the new TeslaTap Mini? http://www.umc-j1772.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=17&product_id=146. I just got mine but I don't have my Tesla mobile charger yet nor my Taycan (though I am getting the Taycan today). It is very compact and will hopefully work well.

After you get your Taycan you can look on PlugShare near you to find places that have destination chargers you can test on. I suspect that you will have no problems.
In PlugShare you can filter to only Tesla non supercharger plugs quite easily. That's how I tested my adapter.

That is a good idea. And a good excuse to drive more.

I bought the Porsche Electric Cooler Bag (https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU4490230.html) on a whim, and wondered whether I would ever use it. To my surprise, I use it every single trip out of DC. It works like a charm, it is not messy, and I've come to view it as my portable Champagne bucket. When I arrive at my destination, I have a Champagne ready to open and at the proper temperature without having to dump out ice from a cooler of spin the bottle in a Champagne bucket. Highly recommended.

I do wrap the bottles in a neoprene sleeve to prevent rattling. I do not notice any impact on range (nor would I expect it to be material).

i belive you can set the charge amps from the tesla screen or the app. Very nice feature on tesla side

I have an escort max360 on a blendmount attached to rear view and hardwired. Works great. I have standard glass.

Well....without a doubt a high quality radar detector along with where it could be mounted would be on the list.
That begs the question whether any detector will work through the Taycan front windshield glass.

speak more on this. you mean I Can charge My non tesla at any super charger with my own adapter?
