This is a very nice simple article explaining some of the cosmetic bits that in my view absolutely unnecessary. They must have consulted Toyota Camry outgoing design folks for the front and rear chisel pieces and other Korean car makers who like to slice and dice front and back bumpers with plastic objects. Also, removed unique scoops around the headlights as they are flush now, groundbreaking...

I suspect limiting it to the plastic bits front and rear minimises the amount of type approval they need to do.

I think it's a mistake removing the "jowls" at the front. That's a distinctive Taycan feature and it'll look bland without them.

No change at the side.

Rear mod is very subtle and perhaps provides a bit more interest and follows the "vent" theme.

The front view is a major downgrade. I'll pass.
Agreed - it loses the menacing snake-like appearance that I first really fell for. I think it also starts to look less like a stretched 911, which I also found attractive.

It's not so material that it would make me not buy another one if I were in the market, but I agree it has lost some of what initially appealed to me - especially the front.

Have to wonder what's going on w/ German sport/sporty vehicle designers. The latest BMW 3s look like they took a leaf from the Edsel front-end IMO. As far as this picture of the new Taycan ... I'd like to see it in person but I'm thinking it's not heading in the right direction.

If that is real, this "Refresh" is worse in every single way that it's different from the original.
I mean, every single external change is a "WTF" style modification. Looks like a bad tuner job to my eyes.

Ew. Maybe it's not supposed to look like that and the driver whacked the car next to it pulling out of the parking spot. :D

I can't stop thinking this car is still slightly disguised...
Some body gaps and assembly don't add up with what Porsche is used to produce. The "cheeks" are not well integrated ; they might be camo as well as the bumper not being definitive.
Plus the Mission E wheels are somewhat fake too...
