My car was a dealer "build" allocation, that they switched to my build specs. My deposit was paid 6/25/2021 and the car build started 7/7/2021. I tried to make a change on the build after we had it all updated, but Porsche would not allow it as it was ready for production.

Got a call from a dealer, actually from Porsche Importer.
my car is (almost) finnished, but there are still some missing parts (?)
he doesn‘t know when it will be completed.
next info: next tuesday.
he‘s still optimistic that i’ll get as promised….

Possible, but that would be relatively quick turnaround and now it's the weekend over there..... May be a couple more days. Don't know how long it takes to refuel that one - interesting thing about Siem Aristotle (and Siem Confucius/Plato) is that they are powered by liquid natural gas rather than diesel engines.

Thanks. Impossible for dealers here in the US to get any info on what's happening at the factory.

Probably. Dealerships here can’t get any information from the port either. Have to work through their area representative from Porsche NA.

Well the boat has been there since the 19th when checking the AIS ( think thats when I first looked for it), and the Volkswagen report you posted showed it leaving today. I am not sure how long it takes to load the cars and refuel.

So no work on the weekend? Germany? or on the ship?

I see arrival on the 20th in the afternoon. Turnaround time is variable but usually at least two full days and sometimes several more. Impossible to tell why. And my experience with these at Emden is that if it's not out Friday evening local time then it's there 'til early Monday morning. Still a chance it could get out late tonight. Same for ports in US. Suspect that tugboats and other support staff get some time off. VW schedule is very approximate and when they're within a couple days of actual that's pretty good.

Thanks again for the information. You are probably right, not necessarily the ship, but the dockhands and pilot boat captains.

I was being overly optimistic! Cannot complain, it was supposed to be at the dealer 9/3 so anytime prior is a bonus.

They have posted an ETA in Halifax of 7/31. May be getting ready to leave port.
