My car just finished production this week and should at the dealer second week of April. I put my deposit down in September 2019!! I waited forever to get a build slot - so much so it tipped into a MY2021. Once it did, I ordered contrast stitching, which delayed it even further. I waited 18 months for my GTR when it first came out so this is par for the course for me. Happy that my car now exists - the next wait will be the longest. Although, given my luck, I expect the boat to hit an iceberg and sink.

How did you get set up on the Track Your Dream app?

I called my dealer asking for help and the sales manager claimed the app only supports 911 orders—despite pointing him to an official Porsche press release that Taycan orders are now supported

I have the opposite problem. Despite having signed up I’m receiving “welcome” emails every 2 days. My salesman thinks because I made one config adjustment that it confused the system. I’m just deleting the extra emails.

I placed my order for a 2021 4S yesterday. I was fortunate in that the dealership already had an incoming order in the system that could be changed up until 2/10 so my salesman modified it to meet my spec. My car enters the body shop on 3/7 and is scheduled for arrival in the States on 5/7. I'm used to waiting much longer for build-to-order vehicles (especially Porsches) so this was a pleasant surprise!

I recommend calling the Porsche North America customer service number: 1-800-PORSCHE (1-800-767-7243). Make sure you have the commission number for the order handy and they should be able to help you out. I was able to get access to TYD once the car started production. I’d also confirm that they have the correct email address on file for your order, and that you have a Porsche ID already set up under that email address.

Thanks! I did purchase at Marin Porsche. I've been working with a salesman there since 2007 and this is my 5th Porsche through him so I got what I felt was a good deal; not just on the car but on some extras like PPF. Congrats on getting a new 4S yourself! Maybe our cars will share a boat ride.

I don't know about a "Track Your Dream" app but I have the "My Porsche" app and it allows me to track information on the status of my Taycan 4S.

Same here. I'm receiving a welcome e-mail every day. I didn't make any changes after I submitted my order, however the build slot I inherited was already in Porsche's system with a configuration originally submitted by the dealership. I don't know if that had anything to do with anything, but I don't really care as long as they get my car built to proper spec and delivered on time!
