Tesla spotted at "Porsche" Charging Station

I know it's allowed. With all the Tesla posts about seeing a Porsche at the Tesla charging stations. I found it funny to see this Tesla at ab electrify America station

That looks like the CHAdeMO adapter, which charges at a max of 43kW, so this Tesla might be there a while! The new Tesla CCS adapter can do ~250kW if you enable it in the car and get your hands on one of the devices from Korea.

It’s not unusual to see Teslas charging at EVgo when there’s a Supercharger inside the same parking structure at my local mall. Maybe it’s cheaper for them or whatever reason.

Definitely the Tesla Chad adapter. Its a behemoth. use it far less these days than once upon a time. The states is probably different. But virtually all high and ultra high speed charger in Europe and the UK are based on CCS2.

CHAdeMO is for all intents a dead standard.

And yet in Ireland – ESB still install new chargers with it – because, you know, ancient leafs.

And it's worth remembering that in Japan – Taycan DC charging is CHAdeMO! No clue what the maximum kW rate is though.

Actually maybe thats why Ireland still installs them. A lot of second-hand cars from Japan get sold in Ireland – same side of the road, etc.

Maybe this keeps that trade open for EVs ?. I never actually thought of that until now.

Thanks. No idea about Japan - but for certain here CHAdeMo is hobbled at 50 kW. Legacy charging at best....
