Jason from Engineering Explained's take on take on the Range difference reported by Car and Driver. What's interesting was that it was trying to say how reasonable the values were provided by the different automakers however the real world test given at the bottom shows the efficiency of the two cars is pretty much identical at 75 mph and the only difference is that one has 89kWh usable versus 95kWh. And that was with a Turbo S with the 305 tires vs Model S Performance.

The Car and Driver article this is based on was very interesting reading and I enjoyed the video going into more details of the engineering and math. It is clear that wheels/tires have a huge impact on road force and highway range, with the 19" standard wheels tires delivering about 260 when tested by TeslaBorjn at 120 KPH. Motor Trend also has an interesting article on the new Lucid Air with a real life range of 490 miles!! Of course, the Air is not a sports sedan.
