Please do.

I have had several clients do this in the past week, so interested to hear how long it takes them to receive their rebate.

Kinda nice that Texas of all states has that high of a rebate for EV/Hybrid. $10,000 in total incentives is great!

Count on two months from the time you submit your completed paperwork package (TWO COPIES please) to receiving your grant check. You can add time if you have to go back and forth with the nice TCEQ folks. I filed my paperwork at the end of June, and received my check at the end of August.

The other trick to know about is that if you have car on order but not yet delivered, you can apply for a reservation for the grant. I did that way back in March when I thought my car was going to be delivered at the end of April. Sweated a few bullets due to the production delays as there IS a time limit on the reservation.

My ev rebate application was received on Friday Aug 21st.
This morning (Sept 10th) I received an email from TCEQ that they have approved my application and are processing payment for my award grant.
So total 20 days from application received to approval. Not bad at all.
There was no 'back and forth' between me and TCEQ in the interim either, so looks like all necessary docs given with the application checked out.

Once award grant received, will update on here again.

Application approved on Aug 21. Check dated Sep 11 and received a few days later.

Pretty quick turn around. I only submitted one copy of everything (application says somewhere to submit 2). They didn't say anything about that. Dealer forgot to sign sales agreement and they gave 3 days to e-mail the corrected version. Fairly painless for a government program.

IT looks like Colorado has a $4000 tax credit this year if I'm reading the documents correctly. Does anyone know anything about that. Here's a link.
Charlie, I haven’t taken it on a return yet, but think it’s pretty straightforward. Like the federal tax credit

I was just looking at the eligible vehicle list and noticed that the 4S and Turbo S are listed but not the Turbo. Not sure if it's an oversight or if the Turbo trim has been cut off or what.

I was questioning same thing when I was completing the paperwork but earlier in the thread it appears @MTM2012 has a Turbo and has received a check so hopefully just oversight not listing the Turbo. My paperwork was received 3 weeks ago so hopefully I will receive acknowledgement from TCEQ in the coming days, in line with the timing others experienced above.

I had the same question. This was their reply.

Hello,

I've corresponded with a Porsche representative. The Taycan in our eligible vehicle list does include the 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S. The 2020 is available in our eligible vehicle list, but the 2021 isn't yet-- those ones are waiting on their certifications that they'll need to submit to us to add to the eligible vehicle list.

Thanks,

I applied for one on my Turbo S several weeks ago and got notice I was approved a few days back. Check hasn't arrived yet though.

Am I the only one that thinks it's a little bit ironic that this program requires you to fill out everything on paper?

Lol. That's Government Programs for you!

You can pre-fill everything out online in the PDF and then print it out, which is way easier. But yes, they should have an online portal to submit everything.
