For those of you not familiar with Bjorn, he has a youtube channel where he extensively compares EV's across multiple types of tests. These include the range on a single charge, charging speed, and the most interesting, the 1000km challenge. During this test he drives the EV along a common 1000km route and tries to optimize charging to get 1000km as fast as possible.
Here is a link for the video he just posted for the Audi E-tron GT along the 1000km route. The E-tron GT and the Taycan share the same battery and charging architecture. So it's safe to assume the Taycan would have similar results. The E-tron was 20 minutes faster than the Tesla Model S LR and 25 minutes faster than a Tesla Model 3 LR. This E-tron had the 21" wheels/tires so wasn't the optimal spec for this type of test. With 19" wheels it may be a couple of minutes faster. But the key here is that regardless of range on a full charge, an EV with a better charging profile can travel long distances faster than an EV with more range but a less optimal charging profile. The E-tron GT and the Taycan are the best available at the moment in terms of this charging profile combined with reasonable efficiency.
