I haven't ordered the rack yet but I have ordered the mounting points (as well as the roof rails) to give me the optionality. Out of curiosity, has anyone tried to put a bike (road or mountain) into the back of the car with the seats down yet?

Just dropping in here to confirm that US cross turismos come by default with the vehicle side mounts. There’s no option on the configurator or my build sheet, and here’s a shot of my ‘21 CT:

Massively frustrating that this thing appears to not even have started production as yet, regardless of supply chain etc. - anyone else have any new info?

I have those ordered for my GTS ST build as I cycle and basically need it. But I'm disappointed that with a possible payload of up to 60kg it can only hold 2 bikes.
I have a similar tow bar mounted rack now for my Audi S6 AVANT with payload of 50kg that can hold 4 bikes...
Why not 4 on this (2 adult and 2 children)??? So annoying ?. A let down to be fair!

The weight capacity is likely much more than needed. Unless using for 2 very heavy E Bikes. I ride a Specialized E bike, but it only weighs around 24 lbs.. But if the carrier rack was designed to carry 4 bikes side by side, it would be much too long.

Nah. Respectfully I disagree, my current rack carries up to 4 bikes, is a standard size, flips up like this one to reveal access to the boot, and looks just about the same size as this one... I haven't measured for comparison, but for sure when I get my Taycan I will and post it up here...

They say you can buy additional mounts to do three bikes apparently. Not sure about four.

Finally got the bike carrier rack today. Pretty easy to install. Even came with a pair of Porsche gloves.

how do the bike carriers attach to the rack? are there instructions that came with it? would be interest to learn how the whole thing goes together as ill need this for our biking since there is no 2" adaptor
