I’ve experienced the wonder of the Thermal Camera Night Vision Assist and Matrix Headlights a few times now, but today was absolutely astonishing.

I let one traffic light just as it went green, swiftly making my way to another light before it went red, not breaking the speed limit, but making full use of the joys of the Taycan.

Actually, Normal mode without launch, I’m quite happy in Normal.

I was at the second lights before you knew it, and the Taycan decided some of the pedestrians were potentially a collision hazard and lit them up with a flash of the headlights.

The spookiest thing, it lit up only two of the three pedestrians. It was kind of pinpoint accurate.... honestly, utterly surreal... they stopped their tracks.

I maintain, sure you don’t need all the toys, but damn, I don’t regret buying a single one*

*Till they go wrong.

Agreed. I also optioned the Night Vision, and the few times it has lit up I was very happy I had!

Night vision is super cool when there is a detected pedestrian or animal - but hard to capture that on a phone camera

I enjoy seeing all the things you can’t normally see at light.

That said, not sure I’d want to try driving by thermal camera view.

Something else that’s fun, point your Matrix Headlights at a wall and turn the ignition on. They unfurl like a curtain.
