I am confused. I have set up a profile with a timer. I have set my preferred charging time at 11:30 pm with the car to be charged at 85% at 6:00 am. I have also set this for a daily event. With that said, no matter what time of day I plug the charger in, the car immediately starts charging. The car will only charge to the pre-selected 85% but it will not start at the correct time. What am I doing wrong? The car is NOT set for direct charging. Thanks

What is the Minimum charge setting in the Profile that is active?

A Timer is set for when want it to Finish charging. Not start.

So how do you set a start time? I show preferred start time @ 11:30 pm.

You don’t set a start time. It will calculate when it should start based on the power available and your chosen Departure time.

ANYtime you plug in, if your SoC is below the Minimum, then it will begin charging and charge until the Minimum is reached.

Then what is the point in selecting the preferred charging time?

If your departure was at 8am, but your preferred charge time was 1 to 6am, and you needed 3 hours of charge, it would charge from 3 to 6am.

If you didn’t have a preferred time, it would charge from 5 to 8am.

There are edge cases here I haven’t explored, and aren’t obvious. You should call porsche and ask assistance. They designed this very confusing system and they should feel some pain by having to explain it. Again and again.

It eventually makes sense, but you have to warp your head to think like they did. It’s non-obvious. To everyone.
