I've pretty much decided not to. For the once in a blue moon that I need some lumber, I'll borrow a friend's pick-up (or rent one). For that trip from Maryland to Florida once a year, I'll ship a box ahead via UPS. I like the clean lines without, FWIW.

I decided not to roof rail, I already have a full size SUV for roof box duties.

Same, think it looks better without and anything strapped to your roof is going to seriously diminish range so better to pack smart for road trips.

The car just looks so much better without rails. If you have stuff you want to carry in a roof box go for it. If you can avoid it then skip them. I have optioned the bike carrier prep just in case. There might be a box for the carrier coming out as Thule has them for other carriers.

I like the rails. I think they do a good job of echoing the Porsche haunches on both sides
of the car.

100% will get rails. The glorious thing about good charging speed is it makes any range you lose due to aero way less noticeable vs a car with bad charging and good range. Plus IMO it fits the aesthetic. Otherwise just looks like a porsche with plastic fenders.

+1 for rails, for looks and practicality. How much range reduction do they lead to?

No rails for my CT4, I like the clean lower look with panorama and Ice Grey color and I have a +600hp ”fun van” Cayenne Turbo for transporting :)

The rails themselves do not measurably affect range according to Porsche. Attaching something to the rails is another story however.
