seems pretty spot on to me - Model is 1/2 the price but can do ok on the track - Taycan for 2 or 3x th price definately better - both cars will crap out after about 50 miles of track duty - and you need fast charging at the track.I don't think it's been posted before....?
Interesting comparison of the 2 cars on a track, in stock form....
?Having owned both, they sound spot on to me. The Tesla Model 3 performance is a very track-capable car and noticeably quicker than the 4S, but the Taycan is just a much, much nicer car, faster at high speeds and, as they noted, worth the price difference.
Noticeably quicker in a straight line drag. The Model 3 performance smokes the Taycan 4S in a 1/4 mile race. I’ve owned both - trust me it’s not close.?
The Taycan was 3 seconds quicker in the test - and he said it should have been another second quicker still.
Apples and oranges. The MP3 is quicker off the line than the 4S, but it’s no turbo or turbo s.Idk - I find my model 3 performance twitchy. Quick to 65 for sure but lags afterwards but the Turbo s is solid as a rock and can easily hit 100mph without blinking. Taycan all day everyday

Dunno what to tell you.
checked it with vbox, 2 passengers, 60% SoC
The model 3 is very light so it accelerates quickly, like a go-kart.It’s for sure a close call, but immediately off the line the Model 3 feels much quicker
Yeah, the 3.9s 0-100kph must be an old model. Mat Watson on carwow couldn't quite get the 3.1s 0-60 but was getting under 3.3s which is a bit faster than the 4s (he usually does quarter mile as well but didn't for this):Dunno what to tell you.
Car and Driver had:
M3P: 0-60 in 3.1 and 11.6 1/4
Taycan 4S: 0-60 in 3.4 and 11.7 1/4 mile
It’s for sure a close call, but immediately off the line the Model 3 feels much quicker. The Taycan makes up some time in the 1/4 as it literally has an extra gear.
