Slightly lower number of 150kw and above chargers on this side of the pond.

not sure why I’m paying Porsche for the unlock of the 150kw option as very little chance to charge at that rate

Strange, the UK looks a lot better than that when I look on Zap-Map (filtered to 150kw) Not great but lots more....

The UK has very very few fast chargers. Set the filter to 150 kW CCS charger and the picture as above will show the correct numbers. There are a lot of other chargers but my experience is that there are one or two chargers. And either occupied by CHADEM cars or not working. The UK is far behind with fast chargers compared to many other countries. Italy and Spain are not brilliant either.

A better route planner (ABRP) suggests 1% of charge per minute for a 50kwh charge point this is set up for a 4s+

Average would be about 1% per minute. I really like Zap-Map app. You can set your vehicle type etc, plan a route and select the most convenient charger etc. I don’t do slot of long distance but fancy a road trip to try out the IONITY charger etc.

Should have said. The Taycan is limited to 11kw AC charge. So 22kw charger at home or office will be restricted to 11kw. Some people have talked about a upgrade but I have not read any Porsche official docs that say 22kw on board charger.

11 kW charger at home is sufficient when you can charge at non peak hours during the night. If you use the car daily and plug it in every night it will work very well.

I am not sure about the news from Ionity though as released today?

.79 Euro cent per kWh is quite expensive. But I guess Porsche will have preferential rates for the Taycan. Has anybody seen any information about Rapid Charging for the Taycan? Costs, free charges, free miles? Is anything included with the car?

I thought IONITY and dealer charging was included. But I read that dealers are going to charge as well now. The Perth Scotland dealership would be handy for me coming back up from Glasgow etc. So I’m hoping they get fitted with the Porsche supercharger. Failing that though, at least I can grab a nice free coffee & eat biscuits and sweets for 30 minutes!
