UK GAP Insurance

Hi folks,

What prices have you got and who did you go with for Gap Insurance? I usually use ALA but they have gone pricey off late.

This is a great topic. I haven't even looked yet but assumed that you just used Porsche?

I have always used ALA insurance for my cars. Never had the need for them to payout (touchwood!). Porsche were very expensive.

Right I will answer this myself. I used a company called gapinsurance.co.uk spoke to a lovely chap called Tim on 01484 490095 this morning.

£75k of Gap Insurance over 2 years for £325.

IF anyone is interested give Tim a call.

Yes they will pay you but market value. Easy to be £20-25k out of pocket so GAP is always worth it.

Just got a quote fro them, and for me over 3 Years they are only £25 cheaper than Porsche direct!

That's strange Porsche were double the price for me. I think it's another one of those things which dealers make their money on. Could you email me their quote please as I can go back to them to try and get the Porsche cover in that case. Thanks

Need to compare the cover too though as Porsche provide the cover through c company called MAPFRE not Porsche directly.

Its going to be more mate, its a Turbo S and I'm looking at 4 years cover, might go down to 3. Waiting to hear back from Tim

Any updates? I've been offered free GAP or Gtechnik with my 4s order. Gap via porsche is £1200 odd and gtechnik about £600

Porsche direct should be a standard cost of £599 for 3 years
