After I got my car back from being updated Porsche also carried out an inspection and noted that my front tyers have 55% tread left after 1500 miles.

Are people here getting similar mileage?

Do I really have to change my tyers every 3000 miles?!

Haven't done any burnouts or anything like that.

Unless you've been either tracking or rallying the car, that's rather excessive tire wear, given the low mileage. You may consider having the front-end alignment checked as misalignment, either toe-in or toe-out, for example, can lead to early and excessive wear.

What tires are they? Some start with lower tread depth to begin with so 55% may be a false comparison.

I recently took my cayenne gts to the dealer. Car had brand new tyres that done under 100 miles. Dealer notes show only 70% remaining.........

That doesnt sound right at all. I think maybe we need to take treadwear measurements when the tires are new to establish a baseline.

The OEM summer tires of my Macan S used to last for only 10k-12k miles with just regular street driving.
Given the Taycan is heavier and more powerful I won't be surprised if its summer tires last no more than 10k.
The Porsche approved performace summer tires are maximizing traction at the expense of durabikity.

@Neptune, summer tires or all-seasons on your car?

Something is wrong if they are at 55% in 1,500 miles. If the alignment proves to be within specification be sure to check the tire (I am in US) warranty. The Porsche website "warranty" page has a link to the terms of each tire manufacturer's warranty. A few include tread wear. Good luck.

@atebit The car has the Summer tyers (Eagle F1) that came with the 21-Inch Mission E wheels.

@75Chainslipr The technition noted that the wear is even.

I have not tracked the car.

I guess time will tell.

As per my post earlier I think it’s just the dealer being retarded
They sent a video of taking the measurments of each tread with the tool showing the reading.

Done 10,000 in my Turbo S and still plenty of tread left

Eagle F1's have 6.35mm to begin with, and the dealer calcs seem to use 8.8mm as 100%... either that or they consider them fully worn with 4.47mm of tread left!

checked yesterday, I have >7mm after 2600 kms, which is
1615 mls and 89%

I have the new 20" Pirelli Cinturato P7 OEM, which is also very efficient.
