Probably this thread exists already, though I could not find it. I am wondering whether anyone has tried charging the Taycan using a Tesla destination charger with a Lectron adaptor. I am hoping that the whole thing doesn’t explode..

can't speak to the Lectron specifically - but it should work fine with:

Tesla Universal Mobile Charger (UMC) Gen 1
Tesla UMC Gen2
Tesla Wall Charger Gen1
Tesla Wall Charger Gen2
Tesla Wall Charger Gen3

it will _NOT_ work with Tesla Superchargers in North America - the Tesla Adapters (all of them) only bridge/fix/adapt the Tesla AC EVSE's - there are no adapters at this time that bridge/adapt/convert North American Tesla Superchargers to be compatible with any CCS vehicle in North America

Tesla Supercharger access for non-Tesla's is being rolled out slowly in non-NA markets because the plugs are already the correct standard.

Good luck - explosion is not in the cards - the most that would happen is "no charge".

TeslaTap mini is a great choice - I have one for my Cayenne that I keep in the glove box - great for topping off the Cayenne on road trips at hotels that have Tesla Destination Chargers…

I simply wish my Cayenne would do better than 7.2 kW charge rate…

ohhhh my Kingdom for a high quality lux SUV that was pure EV.

I have the Tesla charger at home, so I use that with the Lectron adapter. I opted for the 50 Amp version of the adapter since my charger is set to 45 amps.

It’s that second picture that made stay away from a mini. At home it would be fine, but in the real world I don’t trust people to watch where they are walking.

But the mini has latches on both sides; it holds the Tesla side in place as well as the car side. Both have holes where you can put a padlock if you're really worried about it.

I’m talking about breaking it when they run into the 12” sticking out. The regular adapter just dangles down the side of the car.

Seconded. I've only had to use it once on the road, but when I did it was a lifesaver.
Thirded.

Wait, that came out wrong.
I also agree Tesla Tap FTW.

Got a mini. Haven’t used it yet. It is pretty small. Perfect for something you will have in the car all the time and very occasionally use.

It fits nicely in one of the trunk side cubbies and doesn't rattle around.
