It really depends upon how much Siemens can invest in improving the EA network. VW might have deeper pockets than Siemens. Or not. Siemens might consider this a good way to get into the North American power structure (they are big in Europe but not so big in the US).
A good EA owner might have been General Electric, but that ship has sailed. GE is not the company it once was.

I wonder if this means the new Electrify America chargers that are yet to be seen in the wild are made by Siemens. It'd make sense.

Although I also somewhat suspect that these chargers are just a concept design by Electrify America, and they're now trying to get charger OEMs to make them custom to their specifications. The images they've provided of them all look very janky.

They are only selling a portion of EA to SIemens to fund expansion. Sounds promising.

btw, they have about 800 stations (e.g. locations) today in the U.S.
