Just got this video thrown at me on my youtube feed. Seems the Rivian ivestment is paying sooner rather than later for VW.
The VW ID.1 is scheduled for late 2026 to early 2027.
Quite a bit late when comparing to how fast chinese put out cars, but assuming it ships at the price they say it will, with good tech and software from rivian, it would definitely be an improvement.

Curious if the prideful Porsche with their "german engineering" will ever make any use of it.

Thanks for sharing, I like the design direction VW is going with this one.

about the software / rivian part; Who cares about software in a UP-Polo sized EV? As long as it has apple Carplay the target audience is happy. This market is for city driving, most of the time driving by someone who choses the car by color and not for its features.

Wow. After reading the interview with Rivian CEO on this joint venture, I elected to buy Rivian stock. This company is going places.
