This may be naive on my part but surely Porsche are going to try and finish making all the 2021 cars before they start making the 22s. It could however be very possible that those of us in the US who have a rather long boat ride to wait for will get 2021 cars after the lucky European customers get their 22s if they don’t prioritize the chip allocations.

Seriously can’t see anyone getting any discount unless the delivery slips all the way into next year.

There is a very long waiting list for allocations and other manufacturers are essentially closing factories the chip shortage is so bad. According to work colleagues in Asia the semi conductor crisis looks to run until at least mid 2023 when production will have have finally caught back up with demand.

I still can’t even find a PS5 for my kids.

What's your build code? We're trying to compare options. The fact that yours apparently started production after mine and is already at port definitely makes me curious if your options had anything to do with it.

Great job at only paying only a 3% deposit. Were you a long term customer of your dealer?

I paid a little under 3% for deposit and no prior experience with the dealer and first Porsche, but was dealing with the Sales Manager…also negotiated 4% off…

I ordered mine in late July with an October build date and also noticedd that the order placed date changed a couple of times last week and is now Sep 3rd.

However, my freeze date is in 16 days. Dealer says delivery ETA is 11/26 but TYD shows 12/3.

Almost identical to my situation! Is yours a MY2022 like mine?

Ordered 2021 CT4 in May with June lock date which got bumped to July 19th.

now shows order created date as 18th august with build start on 9/3 and completion 9/24 and with delivery to dealer in CA on 11/19

According to track my dream my car has now missed its build start so I worry that the delivery will slip again.

frustrating to hear that MY22 orders are scheduled to arrive before mine but there doesn’t seem much to do about it right now

Just a thought, add the MY21 or MY22.

I am like @Greenmachine thinking how can they deliver a MY22 when my MY21 will be delivered at the same time or later and want the original price paid. Also, the MY21 build codes do not populate correctly with the new configurator (price and Premium options), but they are close.

The car is still at the port (almost a month there) waiting on the TPM (sale hold due to fed regulation), 1 key, phone charger, and manual steering column (sale can occur with these 3 items).

That is my issue. Why do the MY21 cars not get prioritized for the chips?? They factory built my car without the chips so they can keep the factory building cars. Continue to build the MY22's and let them sit just like mine is sitting waiting on chips and get the MY21's finished and sold.
