What are the philosophical and existential ramifications of a "missing sign" warning in Waze?

• In the above screenshot, what would prompt someone unfamiliar with the neighborhood to click "Thanks!"? Mustn't a man must know of the sign's prior existence for him to consider it missing?
• More interestingly, a man who clicks "Not there" would have to be able to see the sign's inherent missing'ness. But how does a man see the lack of a sign's missingness?
• A stop sign falls to the ground after being hit by lightning but no one sees it happen. Presumably a passerby would click "Thanks!" to confirm the missingness of the sign, for he sees it on the ground. But it seems that the man who passes by without seeing the missing sign is the more enlightened of the two. By clicking "Not there" he acknowledges the fundamental truth of the matter: There is no sign.
• But by clicking "Not there" he, ironically enough, makes this warning less likely to appear for future users who pass by, thereby depriving them of a deep, existential truth.
