Hi,

FYI, ordered a CT4 in 11/2021, still not yet in prod.
So do not desperate, keep patience.

Cheers mate. Not quite my question though.

Specifically I’m asking when the new model year goes into production.

I know the production date (with all the caveats etc) for my car and that it will be MY23.

It is x-tal clear now.

This is what I read somewhere in the forum, after yearly holidays.
I was expecting to visit the production plant in Summer 2022 but they are closed, this is the answer I have got from Porsche Visitor Center "Between 18.07. – 04.09.2022 we do not offer factory tours"
Therefore, as a quick shortcut, I presume prod resume on Sep 5th with MY23 ??

Yeh I’d presumed after factory reopens in September, but wasn’t 100% sure on that.

AFAIK, the company is closed for two weeks only. After that, production of new MY starts.

I have a MY23 RWD allocation. For the longest time, TYD said start production Friday July 29th. Just checked again and TYD said in production now (started July 23). CP8 scheduled for August 26

I'm in the US

That's good news. I was scheduled for the same date, and I am also MY23. It appears as though September is the date for new model years, since I got bumped out of MY22 when my old production date was early July.

No, this week is when they schedule production FOR the cars being built in Sept and later. At least that's what it appears for mine and others. My actual production date is 9/9.

So it would seem that they started building MY23. Don't have a VIN available yet...

Seems kinda strange that starting production to CP8 will take a month for me. (Doesn't it usually take about 2 weeks?)

Perhaps they'll start production, will take the break, come back and perform cp8, but 🤷‍♂️

@StackPivot Sorry but are you sure you're starting production and not scheduled for production? I can't imagine they'd start making MY23 before the break, then resume after the break.
