OK folks, I know that this is the funniest Taycan comparison. Also who is this Ron that went out with Alex anyway? And why can’t he just drive a Porsche at 5 over the speed limit .

Nice video. Did you get a chance to drive the Mach-E? If yes what are your impressions?

Nice video!

Taycan 4S
EPA Rating: 227 miles
Real world range test: 270 miles
+19%

Mustang Mach-E
EPA Rating: 270 miles
Real world range test: 260
-4%

In Alex's other video with the Mach-E and the Model Y under similar conditions:

Mustang Mach-E
EPA Rating: 270 miles
Real world range test: 268
-1%

Tesla Model Model Y
EPA Rating: 326 miles
Real world range test: 244 miles
-25%

Tesla dramatically underperforms in the real world. Glad to see the Mustang Mach-E can hold it's own.

No I did not, only peeked inside. With all the COVID stuff, car sharing is difficult. :(

Just a note on that charging session, arriving at the fairly high SoC of 19% can be problematic; however, the Taycan did well starting at 240kW and going a bit higher before tapering.
My session was 31min and I received 67kWh so an avg rate of 129kW.
0:31:1067kWh0USD100016-06Started at 19%-92% 89F 240kW

To see more impressive averages you need to leave at ~80%, I had a screen shot showing the car made it to 76% (i.e. 53kWh) in just 17 min still pulling 118kW so averaged 185kW!

No it's not as fast as gasoline by a long shot, but for an EV it's quite practical IMHO.
Also while we were in the first batch of super cars I had to demonstrate a bit of Porsche-ness with a twist to Sport Mode at offset 6:00 you will see them traveling backwards which would allegedly require some triple digit value, but quickly had to return to Range Mode ;) to continue the test.

My wife and I test drove the Tesla model Y, Model 3 and the Mach E all in the same day. We then drove the Etron, I pace and the Taycan in the same day a couple of weeks later.

The MachE was, uninspiring. The acceleration was similar to the Etron, but both of those are well behind the others in straight line acceleration. The MachE was a bit floaty (not as much as the IPace) in the corners. The interior was slightly better than the Teslas, but way behind the Audi, Porsche and Jaguar. The center screen looks like someone ducted taped an IPad to the dash, a bit out of place. We originally had a deposit on the MachE, which we have since requested to be refunded.

In the end, my wife decided on the Etron and I got the Taycan 4S.

I hope the E-Mach GT addresses those concerns :) but it will have 20-30miles less range so that is not ideal.
