Sso, EQE is meant to be “baby eqs”; same interior, just shorter dimensions?
Compare to EQS just 9cm less between the wheels and still almost 5m long, so not exactly a baby? :)

Can't say I'm drawn to the EQ anything to be honest, from a style perspective (and this is just my opinion, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that) Mecedes have played it safe and it shows.
It's boring as hell, interior and especially exterior.
I was so close to buying an EQC last year but seeing them on the road now, I'm so glad I didn't.
There just wouldn't be the same excitement and anticipation as the Taycan.

Chalk and Cheese for me.

I have been a car fan all my life and career.
First on my list always is how the car drives - steering, handling, brakes and acceleration.
Second is interior comfort and ergonomics.
Third is interior colour and styling (the bit I see)
Fourth is exterior colour and styling.
As I get older this list has broadened, since before I had a driver's licens it was probably the reverse!

I don't like the exterior styling of the EQS or EQE but that is not a decisive thing for me.
OTOH previous experience tells me they won't get close to the Taycan for my first priority so I am not in a hurry to check them out.

I am not a car guy at all, but totally in line with your priorities! :)

I start to warm up to EQE more than EQS. But I want to see it in person and test drive it, before I rush to any judgement. ;)

Same here... I'm not a car guy, never been.... but Taycan turns me :giggle:
I read more of Taycan in past months, then of all (my) cars in last 40+ years....

EQS has impressive interior, and, as I already said, boring exteriror...
EQC... boring from inside and outside.
EQE... nah.... I'll wait for Macan, EV edition.

If the car was available in the US today I would get one for my wife.
it appears to be like a boring MB S class, perfect for her.

I was right on the edge of placing an order for the EQS450 but all of a sudden a real estate deal came to light and that will be my focus financially

Yes, please report back. Would be so interesting to know what Taycan drivers think of the big Merc EV.

Its not pretty but the front is more low slung in person which gives it a more aggressive look.

Interior looks nice, flawless build quality, materials not so great. The base interior leather has some sandpaper MB Text which is bad.
Seating is comfortable, visibility is good. Rear seats the floor is high so your legs are sitting high, not a fully flat floor.

Hyperscreen is beautiful, vibrant & sharp, extremely snappy, but counter intuitive, hard to navigate, too many screens to get what you're looking for. Passenger screen is useless.

Ride felt smoother than a Rolls, very quiet, but you feel the weight. 580 that I drove was quick up to 60 then died down. Has a lot of pick up, all the torque is felt up to 60.
No wind or tire noise, but I was in Newport beach where the streets are flawless.

Pushing it out of the turns there was a lot of body roll. It's truly a boat.

It's not even on the same league as a Taycan nor is it trying to be.
Ideally you would want a highly specced 580 and a street Mission R for a sports car. Taycan does it all

Lots of Mercedes owners there that were deposit holders. For a few, it was their 1st EV

Not my cup of tea in any case, but the standard displays look truly pitiful compared to the hyperscreen.
