My car got called again to Porsche, directly from the dealer - so no formal notice, for additional battery work, by order from Porsche central.
This follows 2 months after my car going in for ARA4 recall.

He is saying the campaign number is WRE3. Has anyone seen this / had this? I haven't found anything online about it.
Seems to be some sort of expanded scope of work on ARA4.

Additionally I found out that porsche hongkong can look up recalls for worldwide cars, instead of location specific: https://recall.porschehk.com/en/ . So usefull tidbit.

WRE3 doesn't seem to be registered yet, so it somehow looks like I got informed before Porsche actually releasing it?

WRE3 Is one category of VINs of the ARA4 battery recall.

See the remedy TSB for ARA4: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-11008604-0001.pdf
Also see ARA4 recall thread: Recall: High-Voltage Batteries May Short Circuit (ARA4) - March 20, 2024
Note that in the US, ARA4 VINs are turned into the dealer and the HV batteries are removed and sent to a contractor at another location for module replacement. This may not be the process used for ARA4 VINs outside the US.
Thanks for clarifying.
Well... that sucks, more battery work. I finally thought it was over.

But i guess it proves that ever if you go through a battery recall, they can always recall it again. I guess they don't really check the whole battery?

It is likely that all pre-2025 Taycans are supposed to have HV batteries inspected (again) as part of ARB6/ARB7 recall, prior to having the battery diagnostic software installed.
Recall: High-Voltage Batteries May Short Circuit - ARB6 & ARB7 - Advanced Diagnostic Software - October 1, 2024
US owners won't be notified until November 29.

I doubt that Porsche has the capacity to actually implement that recall for 27,000+ US VINs, plus all the additional VINs outside US.
That's why they install AI based software to predict battery faults just before they happen. That's bad news for us, because we have to stick with old unstable batteries...

Sorry!! This sucks.

I don’t understand how replacing some cells resolves this, it seems like a never ending slog of whack a mole until all cells fail once one is in a bad /impacted batch.

Bummer they aren’t just replacing the battery.
