If you watch the video there are a couple of points he makes:
1. He felt the noise was less in the car with the acoustic glass
2. There were different tires and he claims the Michelins, are quieter than the Hankook evo3's so that would also make a difference
3. He wasn't even sure if the other Taycan had the acoustic glass or not

Bottom line, he felt that with the same tires the acoustic glass makes a significant difference. I wouldn't necessarily use the quoted test results as a gold standard ;-)
...and offered at the end rather choose electric sport sound than acoustic glass...
It is just a one man opinion (feeling) next to the numbers.
But of course it is still not a scientific source.
We could not find better.

On YouTube there is a direct comparison video on the thermal insulating qualities and a good ceramic tint was far more effective than the thermal glass.
This is an interesting video on Thermal protection. Since "tint" is required (my dealer's $995 equivalent of a market markup) I may see if this product is available to put on top of my thermal/noise insulated glass on the rear and side windows.

P.S. The combination of the two seemed the most effective using the IRD 30 on top of the insulated glass. The one thermometer melting was hilarious and quite believable. I live in Southern Arizona so I can relate.

Oh, I get it, and the opinions on this topic seem to be all over the place. But I couldn't find similar cars with and without to compare in person and the heat protection is just as important to me as the noise reduction. Plus, every time I look at my configuration I seem to find another button to push. Fortunately, my freeze point is only 7 days away and that will be a relief.

My CT4 will have the option. It was never a question; IMO, the lack of mechanical noise in an EV makes it a requirement.

I'm currently 2.5 years into driving an e-tron with noise insulated glass. The standard glass cars I test drove and have had as loaners, while acceptably quiet, don't compare. The dual pane glass is quite noticeably better at attenuating wind and traffic/outside noise. I'm assuming similar performance with the Porsche glass, but may be disappointed.

TeslaBjorn's tests are interesting, but far from scientific. Too many variables aren't accounted for; meter position, tire and wheel selection, environmental factors, and sound level weighting are all over the place.

As to thermals, a nice addition. BTW, both Taycan's in the video posted above have the factory insulating glass. It isn't obvious in the title, but is evident at 3:04 and mentioned at 4:40. I plan on tinting as well.

Absolutely. If you like it buy it. No Porsche out everybody would like the options fully. Make your car for yourself not to others. Will enjoy more.

Something that is never mentioned. The isolated glass is also more burglary proof and safer in case of an accident.

I have it on my X5 45e and also chose it on the Taycan CT.

This option matches GTS less as a model about sportiness. Putting big mass to the upper part of the car for questionable benefits. To all other models YES. GTS NO.

The weight of the battery way down low makes such things almost irrelevant. The carbon fiber roof on the RS e-tron GT is a joke… except that it looks awesome!

It is rather style than physics.
Suit with sandals. OK, maybe not as bad :)

I think the noise/thermal glass is well worth the extra money. The car is whisper quiet.

I included the insulated glass in my order (it should not be an option).

The essence of the Taycan is its quietness and smooth ride combined with the acceleration, feel, and handling similar to a 911. The Taycan is a silent rocket ship. So, my thinking was that I might as well make it the best silent rocket ship it can be.

I add that the thermal benefits are meaningful as I live in Florida. Also, I have had no issues with phones, or toll readers (both Sunpass and E-Zpass).

While frustrated with many software issues and ACC and LKA, the experience of driving the thing is consistently satisfying.

After much going back and forth, I decided to option the thernal and noise insulation on my Cross Turismo, especially since a solid metal roof was not an option. I tested my phone signal in a Taycan with the noise insulated glass option and there was no issue with my phone signal, but will have to see how it affects garage door openers and my Escort Passport Max radar detection signals.

Thermal glass is standard.

Correct. No measurable difference.

As you can see from the 'tyre review' test below, the Hankook evo 3's were noisier than the PS4's but the car with insulated glass and evo's was somewhat quieter. I would definitely go for the insulated glass for both the noise and thermal barriers.

Environment
The lower cost tyres had the lowest external noise, with the Pirelli managing to combine sporty handling with low noise levels better than any other tyre.

My Taycan is so much quieter than my Tesla Model S was, and way way quieter than my wife's Tesla Model X. I am pleased with the insulated glass. I don't really have anything to compare it to - no idea what the Taycan would sound like without it!
