“Electrical system error - service necessary”. 2022 CT Turbo. 11,000 miles. Can’t shift into drive- totally bricked. Left it charging, came back 3 hrs later and saw the error.

Let it sit locked a couple times for 20 mins- same error.

tow truck to dealer :-(, missed dinner with the family, no loaner available.

Sorry this happened to you as well. I suggest continuing this conversation in the large recent thread on this topic:

That thread is discussing the red error. I’ve got the yellow. 🤷‍♂️
It usually means the same thing just typically the yellow one doesn’t leave you stranded.

a couple typical culprits
high voltage charger
High voltage booster
Bad battery cells
Bad high voltage batter

hopefully your car gets sorted soon. Mine has been out of commission 15 weeks now with the same yellow error but hopefully getting it back soon

Exact same thing happened to me last weekend (2022 4S CT, bought it 1 month ago, previous owner has said he never had any such issue). Had towing issues so finally got to the dealer on Tuesday. Said it needed a new 12v battery which was received yesterday and they said they’re running some diagnostics but haven’t heard anything yet.
Really hoping it’s resolved quickly!

I got the red error the second time on Nov 7. Had to leave on vacation for 3.5 weeks and came back to a dead car. Jump started the 12v to get it in neutral and towed to dealer last Wed. Range was about the same as I had left it on Nov 7 when I jump started.
The first time the error disappeared and there were no logs, or so I was told.
This time they have narrowed it down to a bad cell in HVB. They are now saying I have to wait on a Porsche engineer (what?) I am also without a loaner and it has been 4 days.

Yep you have to wait for a specialized tech to come out and repair it. Expect a long wait there are only a couple techs in the states that are capable of this and have to be flown out to each dealer. Took me a little over a month for the tech to get there. I think these battery cell repairs are just bandaids. They should be replacing these batteries. Especially on the 2020 in which the cell chemistry between new and old cells is different. Thought my car was good to go then I noticed the battery percentage dropped 5% in one day when the car hasn’t moved and the dealer was closed. So my wait I’m guessing will continue. Consider yourself lucky if it all gets done in a month. In another week it will be four months for me. I have had a lot of patience with this but it’s starting to get ridiculous at this stage.

Incase anyone's interested to see what it looks like to put a Taycan on a wheel lift to get it out from a low-clearance underground garage, here ya go. The dillaship just called, it arrived safely.

I had this same issue recently. In my case, it was a damaged on-board charger (my second). It is my belief that it was caused by my pmcc which has a history of overheating. The on-board charger was replaced and Porsche recommends I decrease my charging output from 40A to 20A (a solution I don’t find acceptable, by the way).

Hah that's not even fast enough to charge your car overnight in many cases! Mine did die while on the charger. Hopefully it was that and not the main battery!
