Any good estimates of expected price yet? And how will pricing compare to the Panamera and the Tesla Model S. Hopefully it's not priced into the stratosphere so I can keep modding and tracking the GT4 :)

I've seen estimates of $85k starting price, just like the Panamera. Of course with options and packages it will go up quickly from there. That would be $10k above what the most basic Model S starts at, but the basic Taycan model should have better specs and performance than the basic Model S.

Some of you may not have seen the Taycan pricing that was communicated to journalist Alex Roy:

Base Taycan - low $90,000's
Taycan 4S - high $90,000's
Taycan Turbo - over $130,000
+ options

I’m not sure I’m going to trust that source. The latest information comes directly from the CEO.

The entry-level model with a smaller battery will cost less than €100,000 but will not be available at launch. No further information about the pricing of the launch-model with the bigger battery. There will be lots of options as usual.

The information from the CEO is not inconsistent with what I posted: low $90,000's base model < €100,000 entry-level model.

Combining these two sources my interpretation is:
- the first available version will cost at least $112K
- the smaller battery version to come at a later time will cost at least $90K

We won't have definitive pricing until the Frankfurt show in September.

Didn't someone say the S and Turbo would be available at launch? If that's true the mid level option could come in under your "first available version" pricing (?)

I guess the Taycan Turbo will cost 160.000 Euro and the Taycan Turbo S will cost 200.000 Euro..

I kind of doubt your pricing estimates as they are too high relative to the Tesla S which Porsche must be mind full. While I think the Porsche Taycan will be a higher quality vehicle, I doubt they will be able to have very much market penetration with that price range relative to the Tesla S. Perhaps in Europe Porsche can get that kind of price differential but certainly not in the US. This is especially true since Tesla has a far more robust infrastructure of charging facilities. VW/Porsche only plans for 400 charging facilities in the US at their launch time or that is what their marketing depart is putting out. I am certainly not a Tesla fan but that is the vehicle the Taycan is going after and must compete with in the US.

Also those prices are higher than Panamera current US pricing. The Turbo S Panamera pretty fully loaded is still under or around $200,000.

The prices in US will for shure be lower but I think the Taycan Turbo S will be 10-20% more expansive than Panamera Turbo S. I heard that the Taycan Turbo S will have over 1000hk and 0-100kph under 3 sek.
The Taycan 4S will be round 100,000 euro and the normal Taycan even cheaper..

I just don't see how they can position the car 'between' the panamera and the cayenne, but charge more for the top-end version. I'm actually hoping they set it up above the Panamera, since I think the advances in technology justify a higher price. Just don't quite understand the logic in positioning it below.

Hmmm, I was hoping the TaycanTurbo S would be in the $150k range plus options of coarse. That is the vehicle I will be look to acquire.
