Bit out of the loop... Have suicide doors been nixed?
I'm afraid so.

But the good news is that these are just mules (therefore with heavy cladding etc.). If you look at the teaser images, you'll see the shape of the production Taycan is almost identical to that of the Mission E. Check out the picture below where I've done a comparison of the profile of the Mission E vs that of the Taycan.

The dimensions are 1.38m high, 4.96m long, 1.96m wide, but the overall profile is almost identical

It looks really good :)

It might not be 100% identical to the Mission E, but it still looks better than 95% of other 4 door cars. And 99% of other 4-door EV's.
Only 99% of other 4-door EV's? Admittedly, it's a fairly low bar right now.

Well, that should shut up all of the people that are still making noise about the "fake exhaust".

Also, headlights look dope.

Also, I like it.

After scrubbing this video back and forth for quite a while.......... I think it’s going to look really quite nice. Even with the slightly bulbous roofline and the reduced haunches and the smaller wheel wells... A little more panameraish but not enough to destroy the concept. ....... kudos to Porsche for pulling the transformation from concept to production off in a believable way!

Even the roofline can only be considered bulbous compared to the Mission E - compared with the vast majority of production 4-door coupes and sedans, it really isn't bulbous at all - it looks much sleeker than the roofline of the first-generation Jaguar XF and of the Audi E-Tron GT.

Speaking of the XF, the Taycan bears a closer resemblance to the Mission E than the Jaguar C-XF did to the first gen Jaguar XF

Am thinking these may be (or close to) the actual production front and rear body panels. You can also see the small windows on the C pillar that have been covered over in most of the test mules. I'd like to see someone photoshop the picture of the front view, removing the stickers around the front lights...
