Not sure about the Audi if it remains true to the concept.
The concept Taycan aka Mission E >>>>>>>>>>> Audi E-Tron GT
But a reworked front end panamera "Taycan" is NOT as sexy as the Audi E-Tron GT
Sorry, but it just isn't.
Even the 'Panamera' Taycan, though it may not look 100% identical to the Mission E, still looks better than the Audi E-Tron GT

Especially the Taycan's rear looks much better than the Audi E-Tron GT's very dumpy rear end.

Let’s go to Frankfurt in September. Great opportunity to compare Panamera with Taycan. I hope that it is not a little Panamera.

I took these pictures at the Porsche museum in Stuttgart in December. There could be a Panamera lurking in the background.

I hope not, I paid for and signed my expression of interest based on this wonderful concept

^^^I think it looks nothing like a Panamera, minus the fact that it has four doors. So, essentially, ANY four door Porsche now looks like a Panamera to these dorks.

There is no denying it’s a very long 4 door car. So they wouldn’t be mistaken to compare it to the panamera.
Personally I feel the panamera is more muted in its design language, but tastes are of a personal opinion.

The Taycan is low, that's why it looks long.
I think it's even shorter than a Panamera.
But looking at the latest pics it doesn't look like a Panamera indeed.
Ah well, you can't argue about taste.
I'm curious how it'll look like in real life, pictures may not provide the right "experience" anyway.

I keep saying, the test mules are wrapped black for a reason.

Also, there will be wheel choices, body styling etc etc. I just think there's a tremendous amount of linear shortsightedness when looking at the mules.

It's both low and long - 4.96m long but just 1.38m high - and very wide as well.

There are very few production cars with sportier proportions - and I can't think of a single four-door sedan with sportier, more athletic proportions than this in production now.

If people stop comparing it to the Mission E, but instead compare it to other production cars, you'll be a lot more satisfied

True but the Mission E was the car I put a deposit down for.
And I think all of that people so you can't blame them...
That's why I want to see it in real life.
Otherwise I'll stick to my old plan: Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera/Balboni 2009+, manual.

The easiest way to surmise it is this:

The Mission-E concept was a BEV supercar based on it's looks alone.

The Taycan is a 4-door sports car.

A supercar from Porsche with the Mission-E's looks (both interior and exterior) would easily be 200k+

A 4-door sports car from Porsche fits right in price-wise.

The cars both have different names, however, the Taycan is staying at least 3/4 true to the concept car.

I think a lot of people that put deposits down were disillusioned that they could own for a consumer car's price what was essentially a supercar when they saw the concept.

So says the “ Genius “. It’s a wider, smaller Panamera. Just like my GTS

That is my position exactly! I am not 100% sold on EVs but I saw the Mission E and said if I get one that’s the one I want with all the bells and whistles. So anything much less than that I just may stay with ICE vehicles?

All I know is I was a religious fanatic following the Supra forums, come debut I cancelled my “pre” pre order when I saw how it looked. Camo can hide a lot, so it’s best we reserve judgment until the reveal.

Also there was strong rumours before even the mission e that there was an electric cayman testing around, so mules can take many shapes.
We say the debut of an electric cayman too, but there is no way Porsche learned nothing from it.
In my mind it’s clearly an engineering demonstration.

Off topic:
But I was also following the Honda HSV, a v10, 10,000 rpm supercar that Honda themselves wanted to come out. Made and even raced. Now we have a hybrid NSX that’s nothing like it or even looks like it.

My point is anything can change - looks are particularly easy to mask.
