Some have compared the Taycan to the Panamera somewhat in design but as far as battery weight, stance etc. what is your best subjective guess as to how the standard suspension Taycan will ride as a daily driver compared to other Porsche models you have driven?

I am guessing as a daily, it will ride more comfortable than my 911 Turbo. So long drives won't be as tiresome. In sport mode/driving, I think it will be less rigid and sporty than the 911 Turbo but still sporty enough to enjoy some spirited driving. That's what I am hoping for as well, since the 911 Turbo is not very enjoyable on long drives, at least for me.

The CEO Oliver Blume stated in April that the Taycan belongs in the "Limousine" (sedan / saloon) category together with the Panamera, so it should feel like a Panamera, but then he said it will drive like the 911.....so hmmmmm.....cant be both. But since it is a 4 door sedan and not a sports car where only the driver focused, I am guessing it would be closer to the Panamera in comfort.

The Taycan will not be similar to any front engine gasoline car. It will ride like a long wheelbase 718/981. That’s how I feel my Model 3 is, having owned both cars. The nose is super light like any Porsche, and front visibility is amazing. So the turn-in is super crisp and Porsche sportscar-like.

It is hard to describe a battery skid car’s handling until you drive it. It’s not like front-engine, mid-engine, or rear-engine. When you wiggle the steering at highway speed, you can feel the center mass fighting the front and rear axles, straining their bushings to hold the car straight. The center of gravity is so low, I struggle to understand why you would even need big swaybars much less dynamic swaybars. Feels like an overoptimization for something that could be very simple. I suppose you would preserve the limousine like ride quality with lower rate springs and dynamic sways, but for a sportscar just go with heavier spring rates.

The car is so quiet that you hear other things, like wind and tires.
