I think they probably decided to underpromise and overdeliver, which is what the Taycan is shaping up to be.

Been away for a bit and what news and pics to come back to! September 4 can’t come soon enough. Being a passenger in the Taycan is going to be tons of fun with that second touch screen on the dash. And of course as the driver we’ll have a different kind of fun (the driving kind)!

Looks like it. And probably scalable so they can use the same skateboard chassis for all their upcoming electric models throughout the Porsche model range.

I know I know I'm getting way ahead of myself here since there hasn't even been a production Taycan sold yet, but anyone have any guesses for future resale value to expect? May not be easy to predict considering the lack of many competing sports sedan EV's resale value trends to base this off...

Hah didn’t know that. Thought all Tesla’s were AWD. Do RWD models get better mileage than AWD models at all, since less motors and energy output?

And base will be RWD? If so, the base Taycan will be the first RWD EV?
