Porsche shamelessly promoted the Mission E. They set our expectations. Repeatedly. Range, charging, performance and looks. The set the stage for the rejection. I own 5 Porsche’s. I am a fan. Some people would be happy with an ugly car and a Porsche label with inferior performance to Tesla...

Of course- they should release the expensive version first- to get the most premium for buyers that want it first. Unless it’s just not ready. Which would be poor management- IMO.

I am now anxiously awaiting my order cancellation. Sad. I will wait to be sure. The high performance model 3 is the electric car to get- until Tesla releases the Roadster (0-60 1.8 seconds and 250+ top speed) - which will probably arrive before the real performance version of the fugly Taycan. Ugh.

Close enough? Not even close. I don’t need a 4 door sedan. I wanted a sexy Porsche electric car. I wonder how many other deposits feel the same way.
