  1. 2020 Porsche Taycan spy pics & videos

I'm sorry but this is incorrect. You are confusing the Taycan profile for a regular sedan profile. It's not. Check out the Polestar 2 dimensions and you'll see it's only a few cm higher then the S40, and has higher ground clearance. The battery setup is almost identical to the Taycan. There are...
  2. Taycan dimensions graphic (vs 911 and Panamera)

I guess I was right about the dimensions. At 496 x 197 it has a larger footprint than the first gen. Panamera, just sleeker. Here's hoping they'll create a more compact sedan or a sleeker Macan coupe further down the road.
  3. Video: Taycan Leaked and Blurred.

This looks just like the Mission E!! (including wide fenders and no black inserts around the headlights)
  4. Taycan dimensions graphic (vs 911 and Panamera)

Hey, I got my own thread! Well yes I am aware of this picture but based on that profile 1/3 unit towards Panamera 2/3 unit towards 911 the length should come in around 487cm. However, the bumper profile looks to be that of the Mission E, not the Taycan so I'm stilk expecting the Taycan to...

I don't see why you couldn't? The Tesla Roadster was their first product, and the Polestar 2 will also be much more compact (with 78kWh). The Taycan has 80 and 96kWh IIRC so I don't see why a more compact, cheaper offering should have more than that.

The original Mission-E was apparently 485cm, the Taycan has an extended back bumper that easily adds 8-10cm, making it close to the E-tron GT (496cm) which is its twin. The First gen Panamera was only 1cm longer at 497cm. It doesnt look it's apparent size though I give you that.

This is true for the Model 3 but I doubt you gave the Polestar 2 a proper look. It's a regular sedan that has slightly higher ground clearance. Like the Taycan it doesn't have any batteries in the foot well area, this has been stated by Polestar representatives at the car shows. I actually like...
  8. Odds Tesla adds Taycan upgrade to Model S before Porsche production ram

The fact that Tesla updates production continuously is neither exclusive to them (all manufacturers do this - they just distinguish between production and design updates) nor does it mean they can just skip design and, yes, also testing. You can't just say - hey cool, let's add that tomorrow to...
  9. Taycan Q&A

that is a real shame, yes I meant the black plastic inserts on both sides of the headlights. I actually did like the glass in front of the headlights, so if the glass panel goes off but the black plastic inserts stay that would be worst of both worlds for me. I really don't understand this...
  10. Taycan Q&A

PAG_J1, are the plastic inserts we see on both sides of the headlights part of the final design? (because if they are, I don't agree they are very similar to the Mission E...)
  11. 2020 Porsche Taycan spy pics & videos

Well I understand perfectly, I share most sentiments especially regarding the blobby rear bumper and toned down fenders. But the plastic inserts around the headlights have been so consistent they seem part of the final design, which I have a hard time to look past. It looks like two scars TBH...

What's with those horrible plastic inserts along the headlights?? It's hurting my eyes and destroys the 'eyelid' design of the Mission E, which has the front bumper/nose curving along the headlights and inside the vents. It's the main design feature of the Mission E and it has been completely...
