Winter tire plan - Pacific Northwest

I'm here for you! I live in Seattle, my Taycan 4S was on 20" summer/winter swap (Pirello Scorpion winter, Sport 4s Summer) and my Turbo S has 21" all season. I just bought a set of the Turbo Aero wheels to put on my Turbo S. Will be running Pirelli Scorpion winters and either Sport 4s or P Zero...

    Porsche’s valuation of Taycan

I just laughed. Come on, get real. The Taycan is amazing. Luxury 4 door sedans are THE WORST cars for residual value, they are notorious for absolutely tanking in value when you drive off the lot. Compared to other luxury 4 door sedans, the Taycan is actually holding up quite well for...

    Swapping a 2021 Turbo for a 2024 GTS?

You're going to eat way, way more money trading in a '21 Turbo now than owning it out of warranty would cost. There aren't any significant differences between a 21 and 24 car. Also don't be so sure that the facelift will lower used 21-24 prices, many people don't like the new design language...

    WTB 20" wheels

Howdy yall. Looking for some relatively inexpensive 20" wheels for my winter set. Tirerack and Discounttires are sold out of all the nicer ones. Anyone have a set or a lead on a set? Looking to stay below $2,500.

    ICE GREY Taycan Club

Ooh, funky. Chalk or Ice Grey are definitely the best fits for BlackBerry, you'll have a cool car! Also, I'll be joining this club in the next few days! New to me 21 Turbo S in Ice Grey over Olea Biege!

USED EV SALES WAY UP, SURPASS NEW

I mean, I just paid half of MSRP for a 21 Turbo S with 10k miles. Paying new prices right now isn't worth.

    0% Charge

I've had the Taycan to 0%, had it automatically shut down at a stop, then got it to turn back on to turtle mode limp 12 blocks back home. True story. I've also driven it 2 miles to a charger on 0% only for the first charger to not work.

    Motor Cars of Chicago

Has anyone heard of or used this dealership? Different from Chicago Motorcars. They are new and have a nice Taycan for sale, but I'm not in the area.

Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires: Good or hot garbage?

I personally find the "EV Tire" thing to be a money grab. They are just a worse version of the normal tire. Get normal Pilot Sport 4s, don't overthink it. The regular Sport 4s are money, don't mess with it.

    Grapevine Reconnaissance

Howdy yall. I'm thinking of getting a CPO Carrera White Turbo from Grapevine and wondering if anyone either knows of the car or would do a little recon for me? It's the Carrera White w red interior. Has some miles on it and a minor Carfax, so would feel a lot better with someone having seen it...

A Taycan or an BMW I5 M60- what would you do?

I have a whole post on my move from a Taycan to an i4 M50 if you search my post history. It's about as unbiased and in depth as you'll find. One thing I'm a bit confused on.. the i4 is roomier than the Taycan, so I think there might have been a perception bias when you sat in it. It is smaller...

    Compensation for delays?

You expect them to compensate you for.. what, exactly? Delays happen, especially these days, get over it and enjoy your car.

Lease Rather Than Buy for $7.5k Rebate

You're going to lose way more than $7,500 leasing through Porsche. For kicks I did the math.. assuming a 3 year/12k lease rate (but if they let me out with no penalty after 2 years) I would have spent an additional $46,000 leasing over buying for 2 years. That's including sales tax credit on...

Be honest, how many of you have shredded your bumper on a speed bump or incline?

It's weird, I haven't personally measured either but I'd *swear* my Taycan 4S had more ground clearance than my i4 m50. Never once had an issue with the Taycan, unless I forgot it was in low or lowered. But nornal or lift? Really not an issue at all.

Panamera E-hybrid vs Taycan driving dynamics

Driving dynamics? The Panamera isn't in the same class as the Taycan. It's really nice for a big car but the Taycan isn't even in the "for a big car" category it's just exceptional as a sports car.

    Anyone bored of EV?

Haha, sorry, it's just the Macan has an audi engine in it that's less than spectacular. I also don't think the 992s sound particularly good, although better than a Macan. Plus good luck spending more than a couple of seconds above 5k RPMs in one of those, you'll be going 100mph by the time...

    Anyone bored of EV?

You.. were jealous of a Macan? I owned a Macan for years, that's a strange one to me. Every time you punch it with that EV power, nah, no boredom. I use the torque way more than I got to enjoy the sound.

    U.S. Federal Tax Credit Question

Yes, you can claim 2 EVs in one year if they qualify (MSRP limit, assembled in the US) & your income qualifies. Your Taycan qualifies as it was before any changes, depends on your 2nd EV.
