Waze is absolutely invaluable here for cop detection, pothole warnings, random furniture in road warnings, etc. Navigation is secondary, though it does help in areas where you have many ways to get from highway A to highway B, and there's traffic.
When I ordered my car, the estimated wait time ended up being a lot longer than the actual wait time. But COVID happened between my order and when I got allocation, and I guess people canceled, and my order was likely 6 months earlier than I expected.
If the dealer is giving a July ship...
I think that they are making assumptions based on their best guess at how much allocation they expect and how many customers they have.
That said, when you order, if it's not just wait-listing, you will get a commission number, and there will be actual build dates and such you'll be able to...
Depends on what your spec is. Order normal color, with black interior, and a normal amount of options, and there's no way I'd want to pay that much.
That said, the dealers hold all the cards right now, because there's no allocation.
The button doesn’t change when regen vs. brakes are used. Regen is always there when you press the brake pedal. The button changes what happens when you aren’t using the brake pedal.
Launch. It's a very short turn on the ramp. Then stop, and launch.
Especially coming from Moffett Park and not Crossman, as few ppl are going to get on from Moffett Park.
I tend to go on the ramp from Moffett Park Dr onto 237W. I go that way to get home, then get off at Mathilda, get back on 237 the other way and stomp it again, and get off at Fair Oaks.
I imagine Porsche already ran this by their lawyers to find out what the max compensation someone could get by suing is, and decided it's cheaper to just risk the lawsuits and offer a token compensation.
I would've refused the car, because getting in and out is already hard. :P But really, I...
If it was just an electric adjustment, then there'd be no problem. :P
Since it's not just a switch connected to a motor directly, and it requires computer control, it's electronic.
I stopped in Bakersfield (charger at a Panera), and Barstow (chargers at Walmart) when going between SJ and Vegas.
You have both stations marked, and it's trivial to get between them in a Taycan, trusting you aren't trying to cut it close charging. The chargers in Barstow are 350kW, and the...
There should be nothing the car can do to cause anything to happen with the EVSE and wiring. Which EVSE? The whole point of the EVSE in the first place is to protect your house (and you) from the car...
Dealers only get so many cars. I can see not wanting stripper orders on a non-base model.
Also, unless you are paying in full at order time, the dealer has to worry about what to do about a cancelled order. That's why there can be pretty hefty deposits required for ugly or stripped out configs.
Which dealer is going to sell a GT3RS at MSRP to any schlub that walks up and offers to buy it? I'll go order one from them today if they will, so I can resell it.
