I went to the event in Surrey last week. Was very impressed - have had a reservation since March on one - so will hopefully be taking delivery of one mid next year for the wife. Finish and build quality was excellent.
Thanks to @Axdenied finally had time to fit this to the car. Works perfectly and all cables are hidden. Very neat and tidy and holds the iPhone in place and charges without any heat build up.
Just wondered if anyone had experienced an issue when using timed charging with a PodPoint?
We also have a Mercedes EQC which does not have car timed charging functionality so have been relying on the PodPoint timed charging feature which has worked flawlessly with the EQC. However when...
All painted surfaces were covered with PPF - this includes the previously matte black parts. This was then ceramic coated with GTechniq Halo. Glass with GTechniq G1. RaceTex with GTechniq I1. Leather with GTechniq L1. Wheels with GTechniq C5.
Had all everything that was matte black done. splitter/diffuser, rear bumper, air intakes, headlight surround and side skirts. GTechniq ceramic coating inside and out on top. £5k all in - the vast majority of which was for the PPF.
New updated pictures after having all the matte black parts painted gloss black along with full XPEL PPF.
First impressions are that there are many improvements over my 2020 4S. Love the GTS interior, much quieter (have insulated glass now), improved handling/acceleration and lastly the PCM...
I've had the same experience. There is a HUGE difference between the 'old' PCM6 and the 'new' one. Whether it is software or hardware - the change is significant.
Having come from the original PCM in the 2020 Taycan, there is a big difference between the two in terms of responsiveness and stability. Coloured icons don’t bother me.
Finally picked up my Taycan GTS this morning. Unfortunately only drove for a few mins as it was straight off to have the sideskirts/front/back bumpers glossed black (and then full PPF/ceramic after).
Having come from a 2020 4S and experiencing all the issues with the PCM it was one of the...
I had a PodPoint installed a couple of years ago. Recently changed the cable myself to a 15m one. Took about 15mins or so. Didn’t use an extension - wired a new one directly into the unit replacing the existing one. Not sure how easy that is to do on the Anderson unit.
Same with mine. Also ties in with what the dealer confirmed to me earlier that the software update was only applicable to newly built vehicles (with new hardware).
My saloon GTS order is going into lockdown tomorrow (14th) and will come out of the factory build complete on 3rd March. Confirmed as having Matrix headlights.
Visited my dealer today and was told the same.
Cars built from 14th February 2022 will come with this update both in terms of software and upgraded hardware - hence the change in part number to prefix PAD from the older 9J1. Older 20/21/22 pre 14th February 2022 are on the original hardware...
