For those of you on the waiting list, is your dealer showing you the love?

Are you getting constant updates? Are you getting anything in the mail? Are you getting invited to any events?

You're about to drop six-figures on this car. Is the dealership making you feel loved?

I'm on the wait list here in Toronto and my dealer has probably emailed me twice in the 1.5 years I've been on the wait list with my deposit down. Both times it was with a link to something I'd already seen on here months ago. Porsche Canada has sent nothing out to us. Just some silly email updates with sketches.

I’ve gotten zero updates or emails. I wasn’t even sure I was on the list until I went back to the dealership last week to book a test drive for a another car.

I've also received no update from my dealer, only the so-called "newsletter" from Porsche Switzerland with outdated articles.

I would love that Porsche organize some kind of exclusive event(s) for the world premiere dedicated to the people who made the subscription. I think that way we could all "feel the love";)

"Feel the Love" is the Subaru TV advertisement here in the USA! My wife now wants a Subaru and the city girl pretends she wants to go hiking in the mountains!

I put my deposit down in January 2019, got the certificate in April, but have not heard from the local dealer at all. I do received spam email from Porsche now advertising the other vehicles....:CWL:

I trade emails with my sales associate. She will be getting Taycan training this week and hopefully share some info with me.

Interesting...… asked him about training as well and this is when he mentioned that they are getting no news on anything but have heard that they will probably get technical training in september……...

I have a few Porsches so I am in the dealership fairly often, my salesman will usually chat me up and pass on any new info. That said I don’t believe he knew about this forum until I advised him. This forum tends to have more and more current information than the dealer. But much info here is speculation so it is difficult to sort out.

After training my sales associate told me a few tidbits:

The charging cable is the J1772 and the CCS (Combined Charging System)
sun roof likely to be optional as is a rear bench seat

I’m on at lists at two major dealerships in the Boston area and I know more than they do (not knocking them) — very few details and I get the sense they’re actually frustrated with the lack of information from Porsche Germany. I happened to sit next to a PCNA employee on a flight from ATL last week and she indicated they hardly know any meaningful details about the Taycan but that training was coming soon for them.

My dealer said (as of last week) they had no Taycan infrastructure yet for a car that supposedly is going to be in their dealerships end of this year. No charging stations. No service training. No tools. Weird.

Porsche has not scheduled any Taycan product training. The Sales training for the car will most likely be in January 2020. There is never any training before a car is officially unveiled.

Mine said they are getting training as well. It would be quite coincidental they are all lying about the same thing at the same time across the world in multiple countries
