Well the charger in an EV is onboard and the box outside is an electrical wall unit to signal with the car’s charger how much power it can give and the car will tell it how much it can receive. So yes you pay out the nose for that Porsche design...... which in this case seems a little clunky compared to the drop formed tesla wall connector........

I normally only use my car to drive to my second home on Friday and back on Sunday. I leave my car at work, 5 min bike ride from home, where I have a charging station. In my second home I have a 400 V 16 A outlet that I installed when I bought my first Tesla. I have about 120 miles to my second home so “ range anxiety “ is something I never experience.
