So I figured out how to get three legit kid seats in the back of the Taycan. Some formulae work for some cars and not for others, so I think I'd share mine:

Center: Clek Fllo. It mounts rear-facing without the LATCH system (Taycan doesn't have it in the center.) It's narrow, and works from infant to toddler.
Sides: Clek Foonf. Designed specifically for three-across, it's also narrow, but still comfy for my 4-yo.

I am showing the pics with just one Foonf but you'll see the Fllo is perfectly centered so another Foonf fits easily on the other side. You won't be able to fit the Foonfs by using LATCH, only by seatbelt, because they do need to get nudged out towards the doors a bit.

The center Fllo needed three pieces of high-density 3/4" foam under its rear-facing "foot" in order to achieve in-spec tilt per the installation instructions.

There is about in inch between the side seats and door. You can still see out the back with the rear view mirror. All is well in the world.

Now when you head out on that hike, you can bring the whole family of 5 + dogs in the Taycan CT! I don't usually take pics on "lifted" mode, but here ya go. (By the way, just joking by calling this "off-roading." I mean technically it's not on a road...)

As a parent of three, I think you have lost your marbles! You can sure fit the seats in, but I’m imagining myself trying to reach my toddler in to the center. The low roofline will be punishing and don’t forget about fastening the buckles of the seat and pulling the tether taut.

I have a minivan for most of the kid hauling, but putting my 3yo into my Klek in the outside position of my Etron sportback isn’t the easiest.

best of luck to you.

It’s been working great, and the kids LOVE getting into the Porsche. The CT doesn’t have a low roofline, particularly with the glass pano! luckily the older kid helps with the baby- he’s sitting right next to her. Wife would never stand for a minivan!

This is seriously impressive. I got a Foonf thinking that maybe the center would have space but gave up.
Also props to getting two of them in the car, I feel like I'm going to give myself a hernia whenever I put one in... (Ended up getting a lighter seat for the other one)

Yeah- you need the Fllo for the center. I tried with the Foonf and it was a no-go. This configuration is the culmination of a couple of months of trying several different car seats in several different orders in the back. I look forward to the day when I never have to install a car seat again, but, alas, that is quite a few years down the line.

I will certainly not try to make you feel bad by saying it was easy!

Love it!
I've got a ST on order and I'm planning for 3 in the back too! Mine are just a bit older and now in boosters so more power to you for the full carseats in there!

Slightly off topic but for you parents of very young ones, with my 3 lads all as teenagers now and scrapping with each other at every waking minute, I long for the days of manhandling them into car seats - no matter how painful it was on my back or damaging to the car.

At least they were restrained and controlled

Wow good work! Did you remove the rear headrests? I've got two little ones and both their seats are sort of just stuck in for now at less than perfect angles and it is the headrests that seem to cause the biggest issue.

I looked in the manual and it seems you can removed them which should help them fit better.

The Foonf doesn’t interfere with the headrest- it’s still on in the pic attached. I have definitely installed the other front facing car seats (Chicco, Evenflo, Costco) where I did have to remove the headrest to get it to sit flat against the back. In some cases, that is definitely the way to go. In this case, it wasn’t in the way. The tether strap is threaded between the seat and the headrest.

The shoulder belt exits are pretty low, so you may find that you don’t even need the boosters. For my 8-yo, he’s a tall one, but sits without booster in the Taycan back side seats and the shoulder belt is over his shoulder (not neck), so that’s good.

I’d advise don’t buy any new seats until the car arrives and you give it a try fit with the kids.

Congrats on your CT/ST order. This is the way!

Thx for the tip! I was thinking about a Clek as mentioned above but now I’ll wait and see!!

I'd suggest to check local regulations. Police doesn't always follow logic and will act according the book. If law says the kid has to have a booster or rised seat until age 12 or 110cm height in the back (just an example) then he has to have one no matter where the belt sits.

Personal experience. Never was fined with my kids but I was checked twice if they had boosters.

Thanks for mentioning that- I should have said that my kid is 8 years old *and* 4' 10" so meets the California requirement either way. But, in our Subaru back seats, he still needs a booster (though not technically by law) because the seatbelt exits are much higher.

Yeah no worries. I only remember because my youngest kid would measure his height weekly to be tall enough to get rid of the booster and later on to go in the front and stick shift for his dad 🤣
