Is there a Swiss owners group? I’m new to Porsche and appreciate the local knowledge. Signed up to this event. Anyone else from the Lausanne area going?

Maybe we can meet in the middle? ?
Not in the middle but I can offer Verbier as a location. It’s a lot of fun driving the hairpins up the hill ? And you can get some nice shots of your cars at the top ?

Hi Swiss Taycan owners. I am planning a trip this summer and looking for some route and charging advise.

We are starting our trip in Flims then go to Lenno at lake Como and end our trip in Galtur AT.

We are staying in Hapimag Flims and this has a 7,2 kw public charger. I have the 22 kw on board charger. Stil debating if I dare to plug it in after @tigerbalm experience. Or use the 22 kw charger in a parking garage near by.

Any experience with the Splugen pass? From Flims to Lenno I can take the San Bernardino or Splugen. I have done the San Bernardino a couple of years ago.

What charge pass is best for Swiss chargers? Or can I acces most chargers with the Porsche card? I think I might have to use a Swiss Charge charger in the Bellinzona regio. Or the Porsche Charger in Lugano. Don’t know if it will be accessible a Saturday afternoon (and free on a Saturday during holidays).

Is the Stelvio pass worth the detour on a probably busy Saturday? From Lenno to Galtur I can go over Sankt Moritz or over Stelvio. I have done the route over Sankt M and it is nice.

Do you have some info on mountain driving? Lenno - Galtur by Sankt Moritz is 266 km , probably only 50-70 km/h roads. I can leave with 100% and lots of 22 kw chargers in Galtur. Should be doable? I will be traveling with a family of 4, the Thule Vector M roof box on Thule roof bars. Probably the negative on range will be less on slower mountain roads than on the highway.

I hope you can give me some local advice

I've used IONITY chargers at Bellinzona that were very reliable and available 24/7.

FWIW: If there was a 22kW charger that was slightly more inconvenient to use I probably would lean that way. However, I'm still charging where I need to, perhaps I am a sucker for punishment!

Thanks Tigerbalm. I checked the Bellinzona charger a couple of times and it looks very busy even now. Traveling on a Saturday during holidays might be challenging. I was looking for alternatives.

I think I will be using the 7.2 charger. It is in the parking garage under the apartment. Will we much easier.

I'm still hopeful – though without any actionable information – that we're weeks (rather than months) away from a permanent fix to the 22kW unit. I continue to push my contacts for specifics.

FWIW's the Porsche charger in Lugano is usually free and accessible 24/7 as it is not behind a gate.
The IONITY charger in Bellinzona, and the GoFast charger in Melide are usually packed and should be avoided on busy holiday periods (such as Fridays, WE). Just bite the bullet and pay the extra CHF 5 or whatever for the Porsche charger and save yourself 30 minutes of queue.

If you stop at Porsche Lugano during opening hours and ask politely they'll give you an espresso for free and access to the mens room. Say hi to Cipriano one of the nicest sales guy that works there.

Great info, thanks. This is what I needed. Didn’t want to arrive at a closed gate. And you confirm just what I expected that the Ionity ones are really busy during summer.

I think the solution is to put 2 x 3,6 kw instead of 7,2 on a single fase on 7,2 kw chargers. It looks like this is how the 11 kw charger works anyway.

I drove through Schweiz today and used Ionity mostly. The stations at Bellinzona at lunch time were extremely busy and one of them at both Nord and Sud were out of order. Very busy now so I wonder how that will work during summer holidays? However there were quite a lot of High Power Chargers showing up on the Navigator screen and also advertised along the route. So I do not think you will hve any issues finding an alternative. I also tried the Virta station at 6474 Silenen with 320 kW available. I think 6 stations and all were free! But there was not much around that stop, but very quick charge.

Thx for the tip.

Did you go over the Gothard pass. I have done that a couple of times in the past. Have a nice holiday.
