Great idea to check the Kia EV6 GT out as a half price Taycan. Would be good if the Zeekr 7GT was competition for the Kia (I think it looks great) but reviews I’ve seen infer it needs more development to compete with the big boys.
This guy has looked at the 7GT a lot, his personal car is a...
Best to check with/take it to a Porsche dealer for updates as there could be quite a few to catch up on. Some of them are dealer visit only and some could be required to enable improvements in OTA .
Ah, I assumed those early j1.2 had slightly upgraded hardware to run 4xxx. If not then yeah a merge would be preferable, but maybe there are other interdependencies in addition to the “buy an updated car” attitude.
3892 has obviously dramatically improved the situation, but a couple of people have reported issues after the update on here.
If Porsche know 3892 is not the final solution, maybe we’ll see another update, which I would see as normal after roll out of such a big fix. We might get lucky and have...

Absolument @TaycanParis we need Porsche management to have the courage to lead, with an EV strategy that includes such a unique “halo” product that epitomises the brand. Loss leader if necessary!
Great write up, totally identify with it (swapping kids for dogs), although when our adult kids join us in the Taycan for a family visit it still does the job brilliantly.
Yeah, line item prices just a little higher than what I paid Porche Reading in Dec ‘25. Skipped the brake fluid change because the brake line recall had been done relatively recently. Might be worth asking about that as they don’t seem to skip anything without being questioned!
If you’re referring to the volume pop up bottom right of screen when using the thumb wheel to adjust volume not being there, didn’t notice that after the WTD4 OTA a few days ago, but that’s not to say it didn’t happen. Post OTA weirdness is common so if you haven’t already maybe initiate a PCM...
