Update. I finally got my car back today after almost 3 months.
The battery module was shipped from Germany and arrived within 2 weeks.
After that my car was sitting in the dealer lot until just last week.
When they notified of me of the first delay (they said they had a backlog of cars to fix)...
Just to correct this seems like the GTS has a unique electric sound compared to other non-GTS models. Since it’s a fake sound coming from the speakers I would be surprised if having more power makes any difference to that sound.
One of the sources...
Hey guys, I have the 2025 Taycan 4 loaner at the moment. Starting today, I am seeing the apple car play’s google map directions on the heads up display. Is that related to Ultra? I’m confused because I drove yesterday too and heads up display didn’t show this navigation data from CarPlay!
I have a 2025 Taycan 4 loaner at the moment and I know a lot of people don’t care about the sound but personally even though both my GTS and the loaner had electric sound they are just not the same and I do miss my GTS sound even though it’s fake. It’s so much more deeper and better sounding IMO.
Based on the battery software check, one module had higher voltage so seems like they only replaced one before.
As for this time, I’m not sure, I’ll post more info as I get them.
Just heard back from the dealership that they will be undergoing a cell/module replacement and not a complete battery replacement. I tried calling Porsche NA to see if I can escalate this issue (given that this will be the 2nd module replacement) for a battery replacement, but they told me...
Update on this, free charging works on the loaner!
Obviously the plug and charge doesn't work, but I just have to open MyPorsche app and initiate the charging there. In the 'Start charging session' screen it shows it's for my Taycan GTS, so I was worried that it will not recognize the Macan but...
That sounds like a fantastic idea if the process to replace the battery is like a day of effort. But I’m assuming they have only 1~2 technicians certified for battery related work per dealership so to them it might be that the technician labor < loaner cars in terms or cost.
Also I think I...
Update: just got my loaner, they gave me a Macan EV so pretty happy as I wanted to try out the Macan EV as well. Since I have the free EV charging, I'm gonna try contacting Porsche NA to see how they can make this available on my loaner (or if they compensate in other ways).
SA mentioned it is...
Update: before returning the car to me today they did a final check and said it did not pass.
They are still seeing a fault and will be performing a software programming for the high voltage battery control unit and then submit the data to Porsche for further analysis which typically takes 4-5...
Wow, that’s great.
Although I drive mine daily, I’m gonna try charging the 12v battery the next time this happens (I don’t have a at home charger at the moment).
Quick update.
They said they took an initial look and it seemed like the 12v battery just needed a charge. They said this error sometimes happens when 12v battery is low.
However, I know this is BS since this issue happened when my 12v battery was not low. My battery got low after I checked on...
