At 18,500 miles and 6 months past factory warranty the A/C quit cooling. I purchased the extended warranty sold by the Houston Porsche dealership to last through the remainder of the battery warranty. Basically a 4 year extension. to 50k miles.
1) Dealer says diagnosis requires a $400 service that warranty does not cover.
2) Now dealer says expansion valve is bad and warranty specifically excludes this part.
Interesting because the only reason I Purchased the warranty was the dealer recommendation that it covered everything expect batteries.
3) Total repair is estimated at $3,000.
Any one else have this problem? Suggestions?
