I was out driving this evening and switched off music and aircon to be sure, but I couldn’t hear anything like that. I’ve found the GTS is noticeably not as quiet as the 4S, but it’s road noise from the bigger tyres as expected. One of the things I noticed after upgrading was additional wind noise from the drivers side / front area over 60mph. It is like a hissing / wind sound.
I am curious if you’ve noticed the same, having done a similar technology jump.
I also switched from manual charge doors to automated so that could be a factor too.
Basically looking for assurance that it’s normal.
Same - not noticed any more noise from the 1.2.I was out driving this evening and switched off music and aircon to be sure, but I couldn’t hear anything like that. I’ve found the GTS is noticeably not as quiet as the 4S, but it’s road noise from the bigger tyres as expected.
I also had the automated charge doors in the 4S and didn’t pick up on any noise like that.
But improvements to range and charging speed!I am jumping from J1 to 1.2 in a few weeks....Taycan RWD to Taycan 4 Black edition. I feel like my jump may be more significant but I love your feedback.
That's kinda what I do. I've set up sport to be lowest ride height (for looks) with normal suspension (so I can keep all of the PAR capabilities) with sports sound on.Can you customize the "Sport" mode to be in fact "Normal".... such you get an equivalent Normal mode as you wish???
Just to be sure... you set the driving in the sport mode as well to "Normal" such as it remains propulsion rather than having both front and back motor always active? That's kinda what I do. I've set up sport to be lowest ride height (for looks) with normal suspension (so I can keep all of the PAR capabilities) with sports sound on.
I have similar setup on individual mode but might change it up soon. That's kinda what I do. I've set up sport to be lowest ride height (for looks) with normal suspension (so I can keep all of the PAR capabilities) with sports sound on.
This will explain what I'm talking about better than I can (saving custom settings to Sport mode).Just to be sure... you set the driving in the sport mode as well to "Normal" such as it remains propulsion rather than having both front and back motor always active?
likely the frunkWell shoot. I’ll try and capture noise on mine.
The stealership says it’s normal, but I definitely notice it vs the old car.
It does sound like airflow noise so maybe it is normal. I should drive another J1.2.
