Hi All,
I'm in Switzerland, would like to add a roof box to my CT turbo and accept the 50 kWh/100 km which is reasonable. Ski trips >2 passengers are a pain.
Could anyone please advise if there s any way to get a compatible roof box in the same color of car body (kreide/chalk)? the OEM stuff...
ABRP is what is says on the tin: a route planner. Decent overview of charging stations and alternatives along routes. The rest is garbage, live data from Porsche, SOC estimates, UX/UI (ugly AF), CarPlay integration etc. all peppered with countless bugs :)
I’m still subscribed for sentimental...
Yes it works while pcm navi is active.
I'm a subscriber as well but no chance to connect ABRP to my Taycan turbo ct OTA. tried a few times to unlink and re-link. but no luck. It's authorised on porsche website but no chance. how did you do it? I also drove for >300 km in 2 segments. All I get...
Hi All,
Could someone confirm for sure that the Tesla mobile connector (the 200 usd portable thing) works with the Taycan (Type 2 socket, home charging, Europe) and there is no need for a socket adapter?
There are many threads, such as this one...
Yes, two pointless approaches :)
My only point is that if one has to 'tolerate' any kind of behaviour at the charging stations - as long as it does not violate regulations, one must conclude that it is OK to use the whole grace period (in Europe 60 minutes, at many stations).
if EVs are the...
Why? In some (most?) countries several networks/providers offer a 60-min grace period after the car has charged to 100%. If one does not remove the car past the 60 mins, one gets charged (eg. 0,3 eur per min) not fined.
So as per your principle and the current regulations, it's ok to charge up...
Tesla sw may be ahead of the game but why is CarPlay not supported? Would be a deal breaker for me. On top of one pedal driving.
I hope Porsche will introduce farts soon though (currently I have to do everything myself and it distracts from driving)
Of course you can compare all you want, "they are not comparable" is a figure of speech. They are two very, very different objects. Yet, nobody is stopping you from comparing them even if the only things they have in common is that they are EV with 4 tyres. The Taycan is the closest you can get...
it always was.
Unfair comparison. the taycan is a sports car. the other democratised horsepower (you could not buy north of 800 hp without spending a lot more money), but not brakes, suspension and steering (which are crap).
And in fact, barroom gossip aside, nobody makes fast turns with the...
I have a place in Dolomites and go there often from CH, winter and summer, crossing a few mountain passes. I have separate rims: 21 summer and 20 winter because when i bought the first taycan (2021) it was impossible to find 21 winters due to the pandemic craziness.
TLDR : don’t go without...
thanks. I'm uncomfortable to use pcm nav as it can't be used alongside google maps. Do you find it as decent as google maps in urban areas, offering alternative routes to avoid traffic and estimate time in queues?
A bit harsh, come on ;). on the 992 tts the transmission is so much smoother and the power delivery as well vs past. the sw around dynamic boost does a good job if you lift, fuel injectors are shut off but throttle is still partially open. It's not an EV but turbos are spooled up significantly...
I have both, 992 tts and a new Taycan turbo CT, non-s, replacing the saloon with pdcc. Great driving dynamics for such a heavy thing.
However, the 992 composure and surgical approach on narrow alpine roads is unbeatable, with the exception of porsche GT products and the model s plaid ?.
Good to know it got sorted. But your Porsche advisor tells you it looks amazing and clean and yet...it has many (superficial) scratches? Will someone cover for the re-PPF of the front?
You have a fair point. But I am a neoclassical staunch proponent of congestion pricing strategy as a one of the ways of allocating scarce resources optimally. In this case it’s not about more expensive cars = more rights (though this would be fair in a taycan forum :p). It’s about optimizing the...
This is not a good analogy.
It would be better to ask yourself: how would you feel if you arrived at a restaurant that does not accept reservations with a group of six guests and all the tables that can accommodate six people are occupied by only one person per table (who does not pay for 6 meals)?
It is impossible to convince people to behave in a civilised manner (nearly) anywhere in the world.
I would definitely be in favour of a more radical price discrimination. The time-based price component is too little.
HPC stations are limited and sometimes crowded. Allowing 'chevy bolts' to...
I had 3-4 times it in my taycan turbo my20. It cleared in my case if car turned off and parked for a few minutes (was not enough to turni it off and back on right away). I have a CT turbo my23 now and never experienced it so far
